X-Treme X-Peditions
This brand new program is an offshoot of our X-Treme Camp, but is unlike anything we’ve done before here at Woodlands! High school students will spend three days and two nights exploring the beauty of the Southeast in one of two unique expedition-style adventures:

• XX1 campers will experience a multi-day backpacking trip along the Chatuga River in Northeast Georgia. There they’ll hike a wilderness trail while taking in the beautiful wildlife and scenery and perhaps enjoy a dip in the whitewater river.
• XX2 campers will experience a multi-day flatwater canoeing trip on Lake Jocasee in South Carolina. There they’ll spend their days exploring the crystal clear lake with its huge depths and rugged cliffs and their nights camping along the lake’s rustic shoreline that has remained mostly untouched by civilization.

Both moderately challenging expeditions will encourage campers to get outside of their comfort zones and develop relationships with each other, with their counselors and with the God who created it all.

X-Treme Camp...
This program is not for the faint-of-heart. Middle and high school students will spend a week enjoying God’s creation while camping out in the beautiful North Georgia mountains. You will push yourself to your personal limits while participating in extreme activities such as balancing on a high ropes course, rock climbing and rappelling on Mount Yonah and whitewater rafting Class III and IV rapids down the Ocoee River (site of the 1996 Summer Olympic whitewater kayaking competition). You will enjoy some amazing scenery, learn some cool new stuff, build close-knit friendships, develop unforgettable memories and get to know the God who created it all!
