How to Apply for NEXT

Step 1: Application

Complete the NEXT Residency Application.

Once your application has been submitted, you should receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive this email contact Adam Hogsed (ahogsed@woodlandscamp.org).

  • Applications open: February 1, 2026

  • Applications close: June 15, 2026

Please note: Any applications submitted after June 15 will be considered only if spots remain available in the residency.

Step 2: One-Way Video Interview

Once we receive your application, you will get an email from Woodlands Camp with instructions to complete a one-way video interview through Spark Hire.

  • If you are using your phone, you will need to download the Spark Hire app.

  • Create an account and watch the tutorial before starting

  • Answer 5 questions and submit your video interview to Woodlands Camp.

Please note: Your application will NOT be considered until we have received your video! 

Step 3: Phone Interview

After reviewing your one-way video interview, a staff member from Woodlands Camp will contact you to schedule a phone interview. This interview will take no more than 30 minutes.

Step 4: References

Once we receive your application, your references will receive a reference form via email. Your application is not complete until we have the reference form from both of your references. 

Step 5: Results

Applicants will be notified of their application status via email according to the following timeline:

  • By April 1, 2026 for applications submitted by March 2

  • By July 1, 2026 for applications submitted after March 2

Please note: Availability for the residency is not guaranteed for applications submitted after March 2.
