Welcome to Woodlands Camp!

Camp is often one of the most significant, life-changing experiences in a kid’s life. It is a place of renewal, refueling, and refocus. Today’s generation is inundated with the noise of culture. At Woodlands, however, our desire is to create an environment where God’s presence is so significant that the distractions of the world and its influences are removed, even if for just one week. And when that happens - combined with God’s powerful Word being read, memorized, taught, modeled, and preached - life change takes place!

Thank you for partnering with us this summer. We hope you have an impactful and unforgettable week!

For the King,

Big Jon

“He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God.” Micah 6:8

Mission

Woodlands exists to inspire and equip today's generation to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.

vision

Woodlands’ vision is to provide an unforgettable camp or retreat experience where the presence of God drowns out the world and its influences.

Causes for camp

Woodlands’ Scholarship Fund is designed to enable at-risk kids from northeast Georgia to attend Woodlands, experience an unforgettable week, and hear about Jesus. 2,688 at-risk kids have attended Woodlands on scholarship since 1998. Fifteen percent of those kids have put their trust in Christ.

Guidelines for Sponsors

We are so glad that you are here with us this week! We do have a few guidelines for you to follow for your safety as well as for the safety of the campers. If you have any questions, please contact the Guest Experience Manager.

Lanyards & Wristbands

Please wear your custom lanyard and wristband at all times. This is how our staff will recognize that you are permitted to be on Woodlands’ property.

Guests

For the safety of our campers and staff, we do not allow additional guests on camp during the camp week. If you have any questions or a specific circumstance, please contact the office by phone or email (706-865-0853 or office@woodlandscamp.org).

Swimming/Boating

You may only swim during day light hours. Lifeguards will only be present during afternoon free time activities. Your children (non-campers) may swim in the shallow swim area under your supervision and responsibility. If you would like to go out in the boats, please make sure to wear a life jacket and follow our other waterfront safety protocols.

Parking/Driving

Be cautious! The speed limit at camp is 17 mph. The low road in front of Lakewood and the Chapel are closed to car traffic during the camp week. Feel free to run into town whenever you’d like. Please use the first entrance to enter and exit. You may park in the Lodge parking lot.

Chapel Services

We welcome and encourage you to attend all of the chapel services. Please sit in the designated seats marked off for sponsors in the back of the chapel. There is one service in the morning and one in the evening. Please see the camp schedule for the appropriate chapel times.
